The first half of earnings season showed a pattern that creates an opportunity for options traders focused on the fundamentals, Goldman Sachs said in a note Wednesday.
There are several stocks slated to report earnings next week that would make profits for traders if they bet that the results moved those stocks toward Goldman's target prices, the note said. So far this earning season, stocks are making larger-than-usual moves in the session following their announcement.
